Lighthouse Shoreline Series

The Shoreline series of lighthouses was an attempt to mass produce lighthouses and insure the waterways were safe to travel. Since then, only 105 and 106 remain standing. The footing of 104 can be located about 20 miles directly north from Herrington on Hwy T. Additional documentation is available from the Library of Congress.

About us - Lighthouse Flippers!

We (David and JJJ) are simply an older couple who grew tired of the rat race. When the government decided to sell off the existing lighthouses, we pooled all of our resources and acquired one. So we found one that suited us best and made an offer. Offers, actually. We were nearly ruined by the bidding process. But we came out on top and have since had profound joy maintaining our favorite place in the world.

Why go on vacation when you're already living the dream?

In loving memory....

Some of the people who have contributed to Shoreline 106!

Alex Dillinger

Alex was the main contractor helping us in the early years. Our hearts go out to his wife and 2 children since the accident near the 105 cliffs.

Ralph Willson

The best of the best realitors. Ralph helped us finalize the purchase. He will be missed but we understand why he moved to Mexico to get a little space.

Barbara Rose

Barb's book "Lighthouse of Grass" is a must-read. After publication, she's been living at the Sheridan Institute. All proceeds go to helping raise awareness for mental health.
